Patricia Akester was awarded a Leverhulme Fellowship to carry out research in the field of technological measures for protection of copyright. The project is cross-disciplinary, resorting to copyright law, information technology and human rights concepts. Methodologically, the study will utilise combine legal analysis with an empirical approach. The Leverhulme Trust was created at the wish of the first Viscount Leverhulme, offering awards for the support of research and education. This particular award aims to provide career development opportunities.
