Ana Gerdau de Borja, currently enrolled as a PhD student, was runner-up in the Annual Prize of the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM) for the best dissertation in the field of Community Trade Marks and Designs. Her LL.M. dissertation was entitled Exceptions to Design Rights: The Potential Impact of TRIPS Article 26(2) and was supervised by Professor Lionel Bently. Each year the OHIM awards outstanding work of post-graduate students in the fields of Community Trade Marks and Designs. The awards ceremony took place on 26 March 2007 in Alicante, Spain.
