On 24 June the CREATe Festival took place at the Royal Society of Arts, part of London Technology Week. The Festival was organised by the CREATe Centre - a venture focusing on social, cultural and economic innovation in relation to the UK's creative economy. In particular, it investigates the role of copyright law in digital change, and how this may support the cultural and digital sectors, promote productivity and growth, and make for a better society.

Professor Lionel Bently spoke at a plenary session titled 'The Future of Copyright' and Dr Richard Danbury chaired a panel on 'Saving News with Copyright'. For further information: http://festival.create.ac.uk/
