Dr Christina Angelopoulos’s book European Intermediary Liability in Copyright: A Tort-Based Analysis (Wolters Kluwer Alphen aan den Rijn 2017) has been shortlisted for the Peter 
Birks Book Prize 2017. The prize is offered by the Society of Legal Scholars for outstanding published books by scholars in their early careers.
The book explores the European law on intermediary accessory liability in copyright. It undertakes a comparative analysis of the current rules governing the area in three selected national jurisdictions (UK, France and Germany), as well as the relationship between these rules and underlying tort law principles. On this basis, it formulates a plausible model for a potential future further European harmonisation of this complicated area.
