On March 17, Paris Diderot University hosted a conference on "Copying and Copyright in 19th-Century Newspapers and Periodicals". Talks included “Debating Copyright for News in Nineteenth-Century Britain” by Will Slauter (Université Paris Diderot) and “Authors, Owners and the Dissemination of Knowledge: Copyright and Periodicals in the Nineteenth Century” by Elena Cooper (CREATe, University of Glasgow). Professor Bently took part in a round table discussion together with Laurel Brake (Birkbeck) and Jim Mussell (Leeds).
